Good Luck!!! WalMart would not take my coupon last time because at the top of the coupon instead of having Manufacture Coupon on it there was Eco Tools. The manager at WalMart said they could not except it for that reason. The same thing happened to a friend of mine.

Not sure I understand what their reasoning is. It’s an Eco Tools coupon so it would say Eco Tools on it. Eco Tools is the manufacturer making it a manufacturer coupon.

I found that if they don’t want to accept the coupon, they would give you lots of reasoning.

Last time, I went to Walmart to redeem my coupons for my Sheba cat food (buy 10 get 3 free). I was able to use it at 2 different locations. Then I went back to the one closer to me, the cashier didn’t know how to do coupons, so he called in the manager. The manager said they don’t accept “buy X get Y free” coupon. I told her that I just came here 2 days ago and was able to use the coupon (I had 4 of the coupons).

She demanded to see my receipt to provide that their store accept the coupon. While I was searching the receipt, somehow, she was able to scan my sheba coupon. And I was able to get 3 free cans.

So there’s no real reasoning on coupons at Walmart and Target. I think that it’s only “luck” if the manager is coupon friendly or not.

@ Jess alot of times its because they have 2 barcodes on the coupons had the same problem with the Schick razors. They had 4 csm’s plus the cashier at my register. Had to ask 4 different times can you please cove one of the codes up. Finally when the 4 csm said it was okay they did and all the coupons scanned no problem. That csm said she would notify all the cashiers that have problems with coupons that have multiple barcodes try covering one up. Haven’t had a problem since.

I am very new to the coupon world but really want to get it right. To day I took a coupon for $1.00 of exlax and my $1.00 off for the eco tool to walmart and I walked out of there with both items and I only spent .50.
