Note:  If you are having trouble loading coupons to your card, head over to the Cellfire page and try there.  Remember, ShopRite only allows 88 to be clipped to your card at one time.  If you can not clip a coupon, it’s possible that you have reached your limit.

I’ll be updating the ShopRite additional deals later.  Make sure to check out the rest of the Shoprite Deals for this week.

Does anyone else have a problem using these coupons? It seems they never take them off when I check out. Are they supposed to work with manufacture’s coupons?

    • Aggi

No, if you use MFC, they do not work!

      • Bill

That is not correct. They DO work with manufacturers coupons. The cashier just has to hit sub-total after scanning your items. Then the ecoupons come off BEFORE the manufactures coupons are scanned (thus disproving the mistaken theory that they do not work together since the ecoupons have already been applied before coupons are even scanned).

Or use self-scanning, they seem to come off right after the item is scanned in that case.

I have had no problems with using the manufactures and ecoupon…now that I said it out loud….Good luck!

I just got off the phone with Shoprite regarding a coupon for Met-RX bars that didn’t come off.

The lady was clueless,I was literally on the phone for about 20 minutes until she told me that i used a paper coupon thats why I couldn’t have the digital coupon. I tried to tell her that Shoprite Policy has nothing about stacking coupons. She claimed its illegal and Shoprite does have it in their policy.

I kept her on the phone while i read the policy to her ( there was nothing about stacking digital and paper coupons) and she said ” well maybe they reworded it or updated the site” , she pretty much said I didn’t understand what i was reading. Wrong, I understand that there is nothing in their policy about it.

Cindy, what do you know from corporate regarding this?

  • Rocky

Sophie, maybe it is better to let sleeping dogs lie…If too many people call to complain about them not coming off, and, telling them it is not in their policy, they may well put it in their policy (like I think PM recently did, though my zavers and paper coupons did come off the other day)!

Right now, it is a YMMV at any given store, for any given person. Yesterday, I had my Crisco ecoupon come off (and, yes, used a paper coupon, also), but, my Kikkoman one did not come off (for 3 pkgs of marinade). I am not going to call Corporate because I take these with a grain of salt. I do not factor them into my shopping budget. If they come off, I am happy. If they don’t, well, hey, I had a paper coupon that did!

What you might want to do, going forward, is take steps to try to do all the things you can from your end, first. This site has had a number of people give a number of hints, a number of times.

For example, have the cashier sub-total your order before giving your paper coups. Use self checkout if you can. Go into your online SR account and re-type and re-submit all of the information, even if nothing has changed (it sometimes kicks it back into gear). Make sure you got the right sizes/quantities of items in the ecoupon details – they don’t always match the sales. Reader Laura D. also recently posted that, sometimes, if you enter a sweepstakes (or drawing) on the SR site you have to then re-enter all of your info in order to set it back right. Make sure, when you clip your online coups that you actually did log into your account, first. If you didn’t, it sometimes looks like you did, but, they are not really attached to your account. Try buying an ecoup item at another SR to test it out. People have reported that their ecoups sometimes work at different SRs. And, so on…

Lastly, if you do all these things and you find that it still did not work, and you were really counting on the money coming off your bill, return the items immediately, so they can also get your paper coupon back. HTH!

Forgot one last thing. Always give your card (and, make sure they are not scanning another store’s card if there are a bunch of stores on your keyring) and not a phone number, verbally. Sometimes, without realizing it, a phone number is still attached to another, or, older card they might have in their system (Cindy has reported this happening to her, and, I have had it happen to me) and it is not the one that you clipped your ecoups to. If you give the card that you know is for the account online, you have better results.

What a great response Rocky-I don’t think there are any more “hints” you could put out there! I am in CT and 9 times out of 10-my electronic coupons come off with no problems! They come off at the end so I always have the cashier hit the total button before I hand over my coupons just to make sure. I also double check that I am buying the correct products because when I first started out-I made lots of mistakes with that and was totally bummed out when I checked my receipt after. I have never had a problem with using both an e-coupon and a paper coupon for the same product either and I love it when those deals work out! For example, yesterday I purchased 1 box of Kellogg’s Special K Cracker Chips @ $2.49. My SR $.70/1 e-coupon came off plus I used a $.70/1 paper coupon which doubled to $1.40 so I only paid $.39 for the box! Awesome! I also want to say that whenever I have called the SR CS number-I never had any problems with the reps and they always seem to want to be very helpful. I feel bad that others haven’t had the same experiences.

    • Bill

I wonder if the people who have problems with CS when complaining about ecoupons complicate the issue by saying that they also used a paper coupon? It really is a non-issue since the ecoupons should come off before manufacturers coupons are even scanned.

Does anyone know, if they don’t sub-total before scanning coupons and you use a coupon for the item and THEN they sub-total, does the ecoupon not come off?

  • Sophie

I do all the hints. I normally don’t have a problem with them coming off. Also I never had a problem when I called. I just said what I missed and they looked and said okay it’s in the mail. This lady was just stubborn and dense at the same time. I won’t call again, because it takes up my time and I get frustrated when she’s refusing to admit there is no stand for what she’s saying.

I just wondered if anyone heard anything.

  • karin

just print out the list of ecoupons so that you know you are correct in the items and size and if there is a problem go to customer service right away. I know what I expect to come off and if it doesn’t, I take action right then. I find that they are at the end of the order right before the coupons start coming off. If it won’t work right there at the register, I take it off the order and try to figure out why. good luck

  • Sophie

    Thanks everyone!

I just wanted to get some feedback to see if I was missing something.

I just get frustrated because I dont use eCoupons that much , but when i do buy the product that i have the eCoupon for…I want it to come off.

Karin- thats how i make my list, I go into myshoprite and add coupons to the list and then print it out. I will take your advice and go to my CS at the store, they’re super nice there.

Bill-I didn’t tell her I used a paper coupon, until she looked at my used coupons first THEN looked if I bough the product. Last time I called about eCoupon not coming off…the lady just asked my price plus number and then put me on hold, came back and said the coupon was in the mail. This time I tried to tell the CS rep that eCoupons come off before customer hands over the paper coupons, but she seemed to have a hard time understanding that. Maybe she as new, but she seemed clueless.

    Thank you everyone!
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there!!!
