Saturday 12/21/13:

Holiday Laser Light Show

Cost:  $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 12 and under
Description: This program features dazzling laser light animation in the state’s only full-dome laser system, set to classical music from Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet, plus numerous seasonal favorites including Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Location: New Jersey State Planetarium, 205 West State Street, Trenton, NJ

Make a Birdhouse or Birdfeeder at Plainsboro Preserve

Cost:  $3 per person; nonmembers, $5 per person
Description: Birds are one of the best ways to connect with wildlife in and around your home. In this class we will learn how to make a bird house or birdfeeder from things we normally consider disposable.
Location: Plainsboro Preserve, 80 Scotts Corner Road, Cranbury, NJ

36th Annual Festival of Trees

Cost:  $5
Description: Marvel at an indoor exhibit of decorated trees while listening to live holiday music and snacking on homemade goodies.
Location: Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center, 190 Lord Stirling Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ
Time:  9 am – 5 pm

The Alien Who Stole Christmas

Cost:  $7
Description:  Discover the stars visible in the winter sky. Then follow Santa on a trip through the solar system after he is kidnapped by a friendly alien.
Location: Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium, 118 Lamington Road, Branchburg, NJ
Time: 2 pm
