Saturday 1/11/14:

The Chemistry of Magic

Cost:  FREE
Description: Merlin, Gandalf, Miss Price, The Boy Who Lived…these characters all possess an enviable knowledge of magic. Now it’s your turn to learn! Come to this science extravaganza packed with amazing demos that reveal the facts behind the fantasy.
Location: Princeton University Campus, Princeton, NJ

Maple Sugaring

Cost:  $3
Description:  Discover the process from start to finish by identifying and tapping maple trees, collecting sap, and seeing syrup made over a wood-fired evaporator. Think you can identify the differences between maple syrups? Take a taste test of three distinct maple syrups, a store bought syrup made from corn syrup, a farm produced syrup made from sugar maple trees, and the syrup made from the red maple trees at the Great Swamp OEC.

Nature Through A Child’s Eye

Description: Enjoy the annual environment and nature art show featuring works from children from kindergarten through grade six.

Winter Farmers’ Market

Cost:  FREE
Description:  Fosterfields Living Historical Farm partners with the Foodshed Alliance Famers’ Access Network and local farmers to bring a monthly winter farmers’ market to Morris County. The Market offers a variety of fresh, locally-produced goods, including meats, cheeses, artisan breads, prepared foods, honey, preserves, and winter produce.
