Keurig Recalls MINI Plus Brewing Systems Due to Burn Hazard

Approximately 7 million Keurig MINI Plus Brewing Systems are being recalled by Keurig.  The recalled brewer with the model number K10 (previously identified as model number B31), are being recalled due to a burn hazard.  The water can overheat during brewing, spray out and burn consumers.

The recalled products, single-serve, hot beverage brewers, were sold nationwide in 13 different colors with silver trim at Kmart, Kohl’s, Target, Walmart and other retailers and online at keurig.com, greenmountaincoffee.com and keurig.ca from December 2009 through December 2014 for about $100.

Keurig says:

“In the meantime, you can continue to use your brewer. We recommend you avoid brewing more than two cups in rapid succession and maintain an arm’s length distance from the brewer during the brewing process.   The satisfaction and safety of our consumers is our highest priority and we are committed to resolving this issue as quickly as possible.”
