The Family Arts Festival is a program of Young Audiences New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania in partnership with the Community Health Promotion Program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, made possible by the generous support of Johnson & Johnson. A fabulous FREE family event! Come learn Latin, Hip Hop, and West African dance. See performances by professional and student dance groups. Explore free family health information. Join us and your community for an interactive dance celebration of healthy living. Stay active by participating in our fun family dance workshops, taught by Latin, Hip Hop & West African dance teachers. Come see performances by The Seventh Principle and Hip Hop Fundamentals, as well as presentations by student dance groups. Learn how to lead a healthy lifestyle by stopping by our Family Health Information booths. NJ Makers Day

Description: Events, demonstrations and crafts will be available at all Somerset Library branches. Whether you like to tinker with robotics or craft in different ways, SCLSNJ has something for you on NJ Makers Day. Events range from Engineering Mystery Bag Challenge, Making Air Freshening Scent Jars, Knitting, Basket weaving, Button making, Origami, Paper Craft Robots and much more!

Printmaking Palooza
Cost: FREE
Description: Join us for an exciting weekend of printmaking! Young artists will be guided through a series of workshops throughout the day that cover a variety of printmaking techniques. Each project uses materials that many families already have in their homes, making these projects easily adaptable for at-home art projects. Featuring Lego Printing, Foil Monoprints and Plasticine Stamp Printing.
