Tried the Barilla pasta deal today at BJ’s in Watchung, and they would only let me use one of the $1 printed coupons so it was not free.

    • MisterBill

Was it a single box as pictured above? That would make sense since their policy says one coupon per separate item. If it was 4 packages bundled together they would take 4 coupons.

      • Pat K

It was the single box as pictured above. It had 6 packets inside.

        • MisterBill

Yeah so only one coupon would be valid. I’m surprised the deal was posted like this.

BTW it *will* probably be free at S&S since there was a $1 e-coupon and if you know the trick you can use both it and the paper coupon.

          • Jennifer Wright

I think it truly depends on the store. Supposed to be that if the box has items inside individually barcoded, they would take the coupons for all 4 packets (of the 6 inside). I’ve not tried the deal yet as these bundle ones being so inconsistent always makes me nervous.

I just found their coupon policy, and it does appear that the multiple coupons should have worked. Note that they specifically give the example of a box of cereal that contains bags and not bags that can be sold separately. I thought it had to be items that were banded or wrapped together but not sealed in a box.

Manufacturer’s coupons may be used on BJ’s multi-pack items unless the coupon redemption rules specify otherwise. The quantity of manufacturer’s coupons allowed is not to exceed the number of units within the BJ’s multi-pack and cannot exceed the BJ’s retail value of the unit. This applies to a maximum of five BJ’s selling units per member, per day.
              Examples of a multipack:
              Three-pack of toothpaste
              Two-pack of salad dressing
              Three-pack of taco kits

Examples of products that are NOT a multipack:
Box of cereal that contains two bags (the bags cannot be sold individually)
              Case of water
              Case of soda
              Case of juice
              Case of motor oil

I bought the Barilla the last time the coupon was available. The box has pouches inside it that each have their own barcode. You can use coupons for the number of barcodes in the package. You can print BJ’s coupon policy from their website.

Would someone tell me where in The Little Book of Big Savings they located this coupon? Dated 10/26 – 11/22? I only find the $1 off Barilla Lasagna or Sauce. TIA.

Page 53 however I’m looking at book dated 10/12to 11/8
