Shopping Trip Breakdown Walmart
Katie did well at Walmart with purchasing a new Keruig. Her trip is a great reminder on knowing the store’s coupon policies. This is what Katie had to say:
I found a great Keurig deal at Walmart yesterday that I have to share! Right now Walmart has their Keurig K-Compact Single Serve Coffee Maker on sale for $49.96 (regularly $59). I’ve had my $25 manufacturers coupon off of any one (1) Keurig brewer that printed for me at the ShopRite catalina machine burning a hole in my coupon binder for weeks now. I read the fine print carefully and it could be used on any one (1) Keurig brewer regardless of size. I was going to wait and use it for the Best Buy Black Friday Keurig sale, but I thought this was too great a deal to pass up! The coupon beeped at checkout and the head cashier initially refused to put it through because it said “ShopRite” on it. After I explained to her that it was a manufacturers coupon and could therefore be used at any store she inserted her key into the register and it accepted it no problem. I thought that it beeped because of the value of the coupon, and when I checked the Walmart coupon policy when I returned home I was right: “The system will prompt for supervisor verification for: A coupon of $20 or greater on one item.”The size is perfect for me and doesn’t take up nearly as much space on my countertop as my old Verisimo. Hopefully other shoppers can take advantage of this great deal and pick up a Keurig K-Compact Single Serve Coffee Maker for themselves or as a gift for the holidays! Checkout coupons (“Catalinas”):
- Printed at our competitors’ registers for dollar/cents off on a specific item
- Must have “Manufacturer Coupon” with specific item requirements printed on them
- Must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer
- Must have a valid expiration date
- Must have a scannable bar code
- Are acceptable in black & white or color
- May not be duplicated
