Zero to Stockpile Donation – The Cupboards are Bare But I’m Ready!

Zero to Stockpile

Well, I did it. I just made a massive donation which included 89 pounds of food and huge quantities of HBA products, Paper Goods, Diapers, Cleaning Products and so much more.

You can watch some of the donation and a tour of the facility where I donated:

Starting Over

I gotta tell ya, I feel, well, like I lost my best friend. I know that sounds weird but I don’t know how else to explain it.

You see I’ve relied on my stockpile for the last 10 years. It was always there for me. If I need something to cook, cleaning or take care of myself with, it was there. Even if it was not the exact product called for in the recipe. I had so many things to choose from to replace it.

So, yeah, it’s like I lost my very reliable friend.

And, that friend always saved me tons of money.

Let’s Do This!

But, I’m ready for this challenge. I’m ready to do it again. Start from scratch. And most important, I’m ready to take you with me step by step so you can see the impact that the stockpile makes on your savings.

And, like I said in Challenge #2, you don’t even really have to use coupons if you don’t want to. But, this girl sure is!

So, let’s do this!

Started Planning My Shopping Trip

Right now, I’ve already started to plan my shopping trip(s) for next week. The great thing is, here on Living Rich With Coupons, we give you store previews. So, I am already scanning through the deals and making my list.

You can do that too!

LRWC Plus Account Helps to Keep You Organized!

Just a reminder, sign up for a FREE LRWC Plus Account so you have the ability to save multiple lists. It helps when shopping one week and saving your shopping list for the next week. Keeps the lists separate and makes it easier. You can save up to 10 lists in your account. So, organize them as you wish…by week, by store, etc.

Things to Keep In Mind:

  1. All my coupons are gone. I’m starting with coupons from this Sunday’s (1/7) inserts. Lucky for me there are 6 inserts. Woot!
  2. My extra freezer is almost empty. Just have a few items in there that I’ll be taking care of this afternoon.
  3. All my store rewards are also gone so I’m starting with no ECBs, no catalinas, no gift cards. 🙁

As a reminder:

Here is a brief overview of the next steps. But as I said above, you can view all the details on the Zero to Stockpile Challenge page.

From now through January 3rd: Packing up the stockpile (COMPLETED) and using up items in my freezer!

Thursday, January 4th Friday, January 5th: I’ll be making a huge donation to Lunch Break NJ which is located in Red Bank, NJ. UPDATE ON THIS! The snow has delayed us so we are not making a donation until Friday (if we can get out of the house!)

Sunday, January 7th: Six inserts are coming (woohoo) which will be the first week that I start officially going from Zero to Stockpile.
