Allure Hair Dryers Recalled Due to Overheating, Exploding & Catching Fire

Allure Hair Dryer Recall

Xtava has recalled the Allure and Allure Pro 2200W Ionic Ceramic Hair Dryers due to overheating, melting, exploding or catching fire. There have been 18 reports or burns and  electrical shock. Four of the shocks resulted in blisters.

Details of the Allure Hair Dryer Recall

The recall includes products sold online at Amazon.com, eBay.com, Walmart.com, Xtava.com, Groupon.com and other websites from October 2014 through August 2018 for between $15 and $60 when sold separately, and for between $20 and $80 when sold as part of a hair care kit.

Many of the units have a label located underneath the back of the unit with the following SKU numbers. All units have XTAVA printed on blower end of hair dryer.

What to Do

Consumers who have these products should immediately stop using the hair dryer and contact Xtava to receive replacement
