Gymboree Bankruptcy –
It’s so sad to see so many stores over the past few years going out of business and now we have yet another!
2nd Bankruptcy in 2 Years
For the 2nd time in 2 years Gymboree has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. We do not have any official news as to when the stores will close, but we do know bankruptcy was filed.
Since their first bankruptcy in 2017 they have closed over 400 stores. At the time those closures were enough to keep them running, but 2018 wasn’t their year and they filed again and will close the remaining stores (Gymboree & Crazy 8). This will not effect any of the Gymboree Gyms that are located for classes for kids around the country!
Be sure to use up all of your gift cards and make the necessary returns!
Online Platform Will Remain Open
According to their press release they do plan on continuing sales on Janie & Jack (company owned by Gymboree) and the online platform for Gymboree.
