SweetHearts Candy

SweetHearts Candy –

For the first time in 153 years the nostalgic little Candy Hearts will not be available for Valentine’s Day. They may not be that tasty, but the little messages each heart says can make every Valentine’s Day nostalgic.

Spangler Candy Company Take Over

The company who produced these for years, Necco shut down for good last year. The company, Spangler Candy Company took over the Sweethearts brand, but didn’t have enough time to produce the little hearts in time for Valentines Day 2019.

It’s hard to not picture Valentine’s Day with out these little guys. The are the face of the day! So much so that 13 million pounds of Sweetheart Candy are normally sold in the six weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, according to Smithsonian.com. They make up 40% of the Valentine’s Day Candy Market!

I guess we are all eating stale Sweethearts this year, or maybe we’ll just wait until next year. I’m predicting a pretty huge unveiling 😉

Make some Valentine’s Day Recipes to cheer up your friends and family! The pizza might just get my mind off the fact we won’t have these cuties this year!
