Apple-Cranberry Pie Recipe

This is a great pie for this time of year! You use a traditional crust for the bottom crust and the top crust is more of a crumbly crust. Enjoy!

  1. Pour boiling water over cranberries and let sit for 5 mins and then drain. Mix with apples and place in baked pie shell. Combine granulated sugar, 3 tbsp flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon rind; then stir in half & half. Pour over fruit.

  2. For the topping, combine 1/3 cup flour, nuts, brown sugar and nutmeg. Cut in melted butter with fork or pastry blender. Sprinkle over filling. Cover pie crust edges with foil. Bake at 375° for 45 mins. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 - 15 mins until topping has lightly browned and fruit is tender.
