Pasta with Tuna and Tomatoes Recipe – Cook from Your Pantry

Here’s an easy and tasty recipe to make.  You probably even have most of the items in your pantry.  You can add more garlic if you’d like, I usually do, along with a little extra olive oil.  You can serve this with any type of pasta.  Enjoy!

Pasta with Tuna and Tomatoes

Ingredients
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 28 oz can crushed or diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teasp oregano
  • 1/4 teasp basil (dried)
  • 1 5 oz can tuna
  • 1 lb. pasta
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • chopped parsley for topping (optional)
Instructions
  1. Heat oil and saute garlic and onion until softened.

  2. Add tomatoes and herbs. Cook on low heat for 10 mins.

  3. Add drained tuna. Cook 10 mins.

  4. Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain. Pour sauce over pasta. Serve with grated cheese and optional chopped parsley.
