Spaghetti Sauce - Marinara Sauce

When I cook, it’s never an exact science so these will just be *suggested amounts*. So, if you are looking for a simple recipe to throw on top of some macaroni for a quick dinner or even let simmer all day with meatballs, sausage or, like my grandmothers did, throw in any leftover meat in the frig, then this is a great recipe for that.

This should be enough for 2 meals so take the rest and freeze for an quick and easy second meal.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Saute garlic & onions until soft.
  2. Add 2 cans of crushed tomato. Fill 1 can (28 oz) with water and add that as well
  3. Add 1 Can tomato sauce & 1 can tomato paste as well as the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Let simmer for an hour minimum.
  5. If you are adding cooked meatball & sausage you can put that in now. I like to let that simmer for at least 3 hours.
  6. Serve over macaroni. Add grated cheese, ricotta cheese or whatever suits your fancy.
