Baked Acorn Squash

Its easy to make but since it is baked, it takes about an hour before it is ready. Its delicious and it gets a beautiful color in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium acorn squash
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup or brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400. Scrub squash and cut length wise (from stem to tip). Discard seeds.
  2. Brush cut side of the squash with melted butter. Arrange, with cut side down, in a baking dish. Bake 30 mins.
  3. Turn squash over with the cut sides up and brush with combined butter and corn syrup or brown sugar. Let bake until tender, brushing often with syrup mixture – about 30 mins.
