  1. Preheat oven to 350º

  2. Pour brown rice into a 9x13 casserole dish and spread evenly along the bottom of the dish

  3. Gently pour the water in the dish and tap down the rice with the bottom of a spoon until the majority of the rice is at the bottom of the dish

  4. Cover tightly with foil

  5. Bake for 1 hour undisturbed

  6. Carefully remove foil. Steam will come out so be sure to use a fork to pull off the edge of the foil to release the steam
