ShopRite has some great P&G Catalina Deals this week so I thought I would come up with a deal to take advantage of the catalinas and the rebate. There are lots of things you can do so feel free to add any deals you come up with in the comments below.

where is the $5/2 Clairol Hair Color Coupon?
There is a $5/2 Natural Instincts coupon in the 4/29 P&G. Also, not sure if you are aware, but, you can also check the Coupon Database from the Coupons tab in the toolbar, above, whenever looking for the source of a coupon.

This might sound dumb, but with the BOGO Pantene, is that counted as 1 or 2 Pantenes when doing the rebate?

I have question about rolling catalinas from one transaction to second one. There are times when my catalina will beep and cashiers have to do something manually to get it through, once I was told that I cant use it because I had coupons for all items I was buying. Is there a order in which you have to give a cashier coupons and catalina? Can I use two catalinas in one transaction (from different deals)
I’ve noticed that all my catalinas that are more than a dollar or two beep andthey need the manager to override it. I’m not sure why it happens, but the cashiers never mind, they almost expect it because they always save them for last.
Cindy, I can’t seem to find how you are getting a $6.00 CAT from the purchase of two Clairol Hair Color. Is this a CAT other than the P&G? Thanks!!
Yes, it is other than the P&G. It’s a ShopRite offer, advertised in their circular – pg 12 in mine. Excludes Perfect 10 or Foam. It is in a box outlined in green, along with an offer for $2 back on 2 specific U by Kotex.
I went to ShopRite earlier planning to get some of the Cover Girl blush for $2.99. The ones that are marked this price are the smaller size “cheekers.” They are .12 ounces each, and the circular says only the .134 – 1 ounce sizes are included in the buy 3, get $5.00 off your next order deal. They may still be generating the catalina, but I didn’t try it. Just a heads up in case you are planning on doing this deal.
I haven’t tried it myself yet but the circular states that there are CoverGirl Cosmetics items that are priced starting at $2.99. This is what I found however you can do anything that is priced at $2.99 and fits the size requirements.

I bought cover girl “cheekers” .12 oz and it worked… bought 3 at 2.99 ea and got the $5.00 cat…
First I want to say thank you Cindy then I wanted to say that I did this deal. I did not get my first cat but I think it is because I bought the brow pencil and I did not get my 4th transc.cat of 3 dollars and this might have been bc I bought the 2in1 anti dandruff which was also 3.88.
Did you go to customers service? The items you bought were advertised in the circular which means that customer service should be able to print your catalina.
I did go to customer service and yes they did print out the catalina for me. They were not sure as to why it did not print out the regular way. It was more oop but that’s ok cause now I have 5 and 3 cats for the next deal. See u tomorrow in class Cindy.
Cindy, question, can I do all these in one transaction or do I have to break them up?
I am no Cindy ….. but …..
If you are doing one catalina offer and want to do it multiple times you will have to do separate transactions. Example : P&G White , don’t buy 6 blush in one trans. you will only get one cat. Break it up into 2 transactions of 3 blush per trans. so you get two cats.
If you are doing different catalina offers during one transaction, all cats should print.
However, the scenarios Cindy has listed above shows how to roll the different cats so you have spent the least amount of money out of pocket. Hope that makes sense.

It depends on what your cat says….., In this case your catlina will work on anything.
Well, I did all transactions but I messed it up bc I lost one of the receipts… I’m so mad… They calculate it on the piece before coupons n sale price. I was trying to get the 10 $ back… Can I still submit..
I have the receipts for
**4 Pantene shampoo (bogo) so 3.88 each (reg price 4.29)
**2nice and easy 6.88 (7.99)
**2 natural instinct 6.99 (8.79)
3covergirl blush 2.99( this is the receipt I lost)
** these all together added up on reg price ends up 50.72 could I do it without the blush? Help… Can’t believe I messed up.. Thanks!

The rebate form says you “must include the original dated receipts”, here is a suggestion: If you have 3 more coupons for the blush, do the transaction over and return your original blush to the store for a refund. If you don’t have 3 more clairol covergirl coupons I have 3 you may have. If I get them out in the mail tomorrow am (Wed) you should have them in a day (my post office does not go to a redistribution center, it mails direct). I’m in Northern NJ. Yes, I have the same question as CutieM. Would the rebate work on regular prices? Or is it sale price that counts? Would her rebate work without blushes?? If anybody knows please let us know. I really appreciate it. I’m just a couple of dollars short if I count sale prices.
Hi Kate, the rebate form specifically states “Rebate can be used in conjunction with other offers UNLESS prohibited by the specific retailer” Since these purchases were made at Shoprite, the shelf price should be listed on your receipts. Check your receipts to see if the shelf prince is listed. If it is, I am pretty sure this is the price the rebate will go by. I did not participate in this promotion this time around. I think I’m right, anybody else??

On the receipt is says for example $7.29 and right under it -$1 but I messed up, I circled the price together with a dollar off, and now I really wish I just circled the price itself

i did the clairol deal and my deal printed me up two 5 dollar off cats from shop rite. Said i spent 30 on beauty items.

I did this deal but didn’t receive the 6 dollars cats for the hair color. I didn’t panic went ahead as listed and went to customer service and they gave me my 2 6 dollar cats.. A little more out of pocket but it all works in the end. Thanks for the outline. I do find it a little more stressful to do so many transactions at shop rite compared to rite aid. My cashier wasn’t too happy.
The shoprite in Vails gate would not let me do more than one transaction. They have the most cranky cashiers ever
I just wanna tell you guys that I tried to do this deal but they didn’t take my $5 off Clairol Natural Instincts because I bought Nice and Easy (like Cindy wrote above). I’m a little disappointed but I didn’t really have much to say. Also I didn’t know that Natural Instincts prints catalina! Otherwise I’d get that so I could use $5 off coupon.
Hi, Kate. There are two different $5/2 Clairol coupons. For the Nice n Easy, Cindy listed a 4/15 Smart Source coupon. That one states it is for ‘Clairol Hair Color’. Then, there was also another $5/2 that just came out on 4/29 that specifically states Natural Instincts. If you check the Coupon Database, above, you can see them both listed with their particular distinctions.
As far as the other versions printing the catalina, sometimes, until people start reporting back, as one of the readers did, above, you don’t know ahead of time which ones will print the catalina! If you only have the Natural Instincts coupon, perhaps you could return the Nice n Easy and then purchase the NI with your coupon? That would bring down your oop. HTH!

Also I noticed that prices in my stores are often higher than the ones Cindy shows. But I understand that it’s unavoidable. It’s just not always easy for me to get the deals.
Yes, there are regional differences, unfortunately. Sometimes, you can get 2 different papers in the same town and one will have the coupon and one won’t!
