  • I’m having a baby this year. What is a good stock up price for diapers?

    • Diana,
It goes against my grain as a couponer to write this, but if it were me, I would not stock up on diapers before the baby arrives. Here is why: (1) You don’t know what size your baby will be when s/he arrives, (2) Different brands fit babies differently and you don’t know how it will fit until you try it on him/her, (3) Some babies have sensitive skin and react to certain types of disposable diapers.
The last thing you want are boxes full of diapers that won’t work for your baby, so I recommend delaying stockpiling diapers until after you meet your little one. Get a box of the diapers you want to try, and go from there.
      Congratulations!

  • Better deal at CVS for Huggies

Buy 3 Huggies Jumbo Packs at $9.49 each
Buy 1 Kleenex Cool Touch at $1.50

    Coupons:
Use two (2) of the $3/1 Huggies Coupons from walmart.com
Use one (1) of the $2/1 Huggies Coupons from SS 1/13/12

Total amount: $29.97 (still triggers $10 Cash Card)
    Total OOP: $21.97
    Get $10 CVS Cash Card

Huggies are then $3.49 each once you subtract the Klennex from your “OOP total with Cash Card”

In response to Diana. Diapers vary because every brand has a different amount in each box plus for example huggies snug and dry size 5 has 27 in a jumbo pack, little mover have 23. I try not to pay anymore than .27 a diaper, but im also buying size 5. Newborns have a lit more diapers per pack. Just do the math. Just try to catch a store coupon and a manufacturers coupon together. The cvs extra bucks help me to get “free” diapers. But babiesRus will also let you stack coupons. Don’t forget when your buying diapers buy wipes too!! Good luck and congrats

  • Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how many more diapers are in a “big pack” than a “jumbo pack”? Does a big pack have twice as many (roughly)? 30% more (roughly)? Bonus points if you know how many size 2T-3T are in a big pack of Pull-Ups ;)

I did the math on Pull-Ups from CVS, but I’m wondering if it costs less per diaper to get them at Target. Thank you!

  • to the expectant… ) congrats !!! .. my 13 th grandchild was just born last august from one of my 10 kids ) … as for stocking up … I bought 3 bags of newborn .. and then 3 bags of each size available as the sales went …I refuse to pay more than 5.00 per bag for any brand …as sophia has grown we have played swap the diapers .. her parents have yet to buy a bag lol … when she was born a petite 5.2 !! I supplied an additional 3 bags of newborn… once she turned a month old she just started sprouting lol I think we went through 15 + bags of size 1 . and at 4 months she moved into size 2 … now at five months I just exchanged 4 bags of unopened size ones for size 3. all babies grow differently BUT for the First 2 weeks you want NEWBORN size … unless they tell you your having a 10 lb plus lol newborn is the oly diaper with the cut out dip in the front for the belly button to dry stay dry and heal. I truely HTH its comes from a grandma… who is now raising her grands too ages 2 and 5 … so I have 5 cases of pampers in my stock pile size 5 ..that were reg. 45.xx a box 115 count that I paid 20.xx – 25.xx a box for plus got a 5.00 off your next order when I bought them.. and am currently buying pull ups at 3.63 a bag ) …

  • Huggies Pull-Ups Diapers – $9.49
-Use (7) $3.00/1 Pull-Ups Diapers coupon (pullups booklet)
-Get TWO $10 CVS CashCard WYB $30 in Participating Products (Limit 5)
Final Price = 45.43 oop and 2 cards (3.63 a bag ) Less if you roll the cash card into the 2nd order
    so my plan is 4 @ 9.49 – 4(3.00/1) = 25.96
    then 3 @9.49 – 3 ( 3.00/1) = 19.47 – 10.00 cash card = 9.47
which will make it 35.43 oop for 7 bags and give me a 10.00 cash card .
so I will pay 10.00 opp less than doing all 7 at once
price is still 3.63 a bag just OOP is less …
