grocery coupons to save

Whether you are a family of one or a family of 10, you can end up spending hundreds of dollars on groceries every month. If you want to have money left over in your pocketbook after checking out at the register, and don’t we all, you’ll need to utilize your secret weapon: grocery coupons.

These days, nearly every store out there accepts coupons of some sort from mobile coupons, store coupons, printable coupons to the old fashioned insert coupons from your Sunday paper.  Regular coupon users cut their grocery bills by 12% on average. More serious couponers will save much more.  If you spend $1000 on food every month, you would basically get to eat free for a month and a half with your savings.

If you have kids, you know that they start to eat you out of house and home once they hit high school. Sports programs start up and the great calorie in-take begins.  Planning your shopping trips and setting a menu plan are some of the ways to save. Other key ways to save are to compare prices between stores, watching for sales, and stacking grocery coupons on top of in-store discounts.

There are so many tools available online to help you save.  Some of those tools are online coupon databases where you can easily search for over 5,000 coupons that are currently available.  There are Grocery Price Comparison tools that allow you to compare prices on grocery items.  And, coupon match ups for almost all of the stores you already shop at.  The great thing about coupon match ups is that all the leg work is already done for you.  This will allow you to map out your shopping trip and plan how you spend your money wisely.

Remember, you are not just limited to grocery stores to save . You might find yourself shopping at one of the big box retailers that sell everything from clothes to hardware to milk. You might also find yourself purchasing at a drug store. Some of the best deals can be found at these non-traditional food retailers.

Take a little time to peruse the ads, search for printable coupons online, and compare prices between stores. Don’t let those $0.50 grocery coupons fool you, the dollars add up quickly and those few dollars will add up to hundreds of dollars saved in the bank.
