I heard somewhere that they are going to be limiting the amount of RR to 1 allowed per day! is this true? has anyone else heard anything about this?

  • mayowife

I have not heard about any limits on RRs and a manager helped check me out today when I received and used multiple RRs.

    (1) Schick Hydro Razor 5 ($8.99- 4.00/1)
    (1) Colgate 360 toothbrush ($2.99- 0.35/1)
    (1) Arizona Tea, because we needed it anyway ($2.50)
= $5.13 minus $5 RR from last week, earned $4 RR and $2 RR

    (1) Bayer Advanced Aspirin ($3.00- 2.00/1)
    (1) Colgate 360 toothbrush ($2.99)
    (1) item of the week filler
    =$5.99 + filler minus $4 RR, earned $1 RR and $2 RR

$2.12 spent with $2RR, $2RR, and $1 remaining for next trip

*They were sold out of Blistex and Wal-Fex.

I read that in another blog and I can believe it. My understanding is that they will allow you to use only one RR per day to pay for items. It doesn’t make much sense to me how they can tell you how to use your RRs, but I guess they want you to spend more of your money when you use them and you probably will this way. They really don’t have a way to keep track of it, so you could just go to another store. I think it might be up to the individual stores since it seems to be an event that is slowly spreading and not happening at my store as of yet. If they do it to me, I will ask them to show me a copy of the policy.

In 3 diferent stores, they told me, if I use my RR to pay, I’ll lose my next RR, I tried and is true, I talked to the managers and they confirm this…

I tried to use my RR on my purchase yesterday and it cancelled out, was super disappointed, but took back the merchandise and because I paid with a debit card, could not get my money back but received a gift card….so not super happy but at least they were somewhat helpful, but lost my $5 RR and a $4 coupon ugh :(

This is only true if u use the same product RR on the same product…for exp: Buy the Blistex (pay $2) and get a $2 RR and turn around to buy another Blistex and pay with the $2 RR…does that make sense? You will not get another RR if the one you use is for the same product…just fyi.

yeah that is what happened with my P&G RRs from last week’s gillette binge. But when I used some RRs that I got from Finesse it worked fine.

I think the blogs and concerns about the RR usage is a viable one and likely regional for the time being. Unfortunately, since the airing of the Extreme Couponers show, many people have flocked to the sales with coupons and so forth, thus, it has limited the things couponers can now do. As the show continues to air and the following continues to increase, you will see more and more of these limiting changes unfortunately. This is why I am peaved that this show is even airing still. (Rite Aid already changed their B1G1 policy because of it) Anyways, off my soap box and back to your concern, I believe, if anything, it is regional or store specific for now. In order to limit the RR you could use pre day, this would take computer reprogramming on their part. As of this moment, I have multiple Walgreens around me that have not tken hold of this notion. Hopefully, it will fall under the tires and we can continue rolling through with multiple RR per use (with fillers where necessary of course).

Mariam, have you tried perhaps another Walgreens or is there one close to you? It may just b that particular store.
