CVS: U by Kotex Liners Money Maker

Okay let’s try this one again.  I really need to be sure to drink a cup of coffee before I have to calculate things ;)

You can score a great deal on the U by Kotex Liners at CVS.  The 18 ct box is priced at only $1.57.  Plus there is a $1/1 U by Kotex Product printable and the $1/1 U by Kotex SavingStar eCoupon making them a $0.43 money maker!

Here is your deal:

Be sure to check out the rest of the CVS Coupon Match Ups for the week.

I do not think you can use both coupons. Based on my recollection, Saving Star is almost the same as having a paper coupon, except that it is electronic. In their policy they strictly say that you can not combine their e-coupon with a paper coupon, if they are both from the same manufacturer. In this case I believe both of these coupons are from Kinberly and Clark, so you can not use both on one item.

Iris, Saving Star is not really a electronic coupon. You can only use the manufacturer coupon for the purchase, so you are going to have to pay the .57 cents at the register. But later with your Saving Star account you will get $1.00 back. So it’s like getting it for free and then some.

Basically it’s like Upromise. You purchase a specific item and you get money for it, which later you can put the money in your bank account, PayPal or get an amazon gift card for it.

So in other words, you don’t see the savings at the registers, but later you will. Cindy is explaining that you can basically get it for free plus a money maker when you use the coupon and have the Saving Star account with that specific coupon checked off.

Iris, this is what I read….”
Do SavingStar eCoupons stack with in-store discounts or manufacturer’s coupons?

SavingStar eCoupons will work whether or not you combine them with other services’ coupons, but they are not intended to be used this way. Generally, manufacturers state that it is against their policies for shoppers to redeem more than one manufacturer’s coupon for the same purchase. Using in-store coupons in combination with SavingStar eCoupons is not a problem.

In the future, we may implement mechanisms to limit the combination of SavingStar eCoupons with other manufacturer coupons.”

How long do you have until you have to redeem your points? Do they ever expire?

Do you have to redeem your points right away, or can you let them accumulate? Do they ever expire? Thanks!

I just picked up three, but used my raincheck for .99 from a couple of weeks ago along with this coupon. Nice bonus! First time my CVS has had them in weeks!

I understand what Cindy explains. I just wanted to make an observation on how I understand the policy. And that’s the way I understand it. It it like using two of the same coupons for the same purchase, regardless if you get the money later. I am not planning on getting on a debate over how people should use theor coupons.

These are $1.49 at Rite Aid…if you have the 20% discount on your card they work out to be $1.19 each so it’s an $.81 MM.
