This is a great coupon to use next week at ShopRite!  Beginning Sunday, 3/3, ShopRite will have an Oscar Mayer Catalina Deal: Buy $10 worth of select Oscar Mayer Products, Get $3.00 Catalina.  Oscar Mayer Bacon 12-16 oz packages are included in this Catalina Deal and are priced at $4.99.  If you buy two, unfortunately you’d be 2 cents short of the $10 requirement, so you’ll have to add something else to your deal to get the Catalina.

Here is one deal idea using this new bacon coupon:

Buy 2 Oscar Mayer Bacon, $4.99 each
Buy 1 Oscar Mayer Lunchable, $2.50
-(1) $1.00 off TWO (2) OSCAR MAYER Bacon 16 oz
Pay: $11.48
Get: $3.00 Catalina
as low as $2.83 each after coupon & Catalina

Be sure to check out the rest of the ShopRite Preview Deals for next week!

This one’s not going off of shelf price?

Are the Lunchables w/ Smoothies included in the sale? There was a $1/1 regional last week that would make each $2.16 after coupons/Cat.

      • Cindy

It doesn’t appear that they will be. From what we can tell right now, it’s just the Lunchables that are $2.69 regular price. But, I’ll be keeping an eye on that come Sunday morning.

There is no pre price price listed in the ad so they look like they are just sale prices. ShopRite catalina deals work based on the pre-price plus prices. If they are just a regular sale, then they work on that sale price.

Bummer. The coupons says “Redeemable at Walmart.” My SR might not take it.

    • Jane

Bummer #2. Same here – my SR will not take it. 🙁

This seems like a terrible price for bacon, but bacon has been very expensive recently. I sort of remember it being $3.99/lb some time not too far back, which is better than this deal altogether. This seems more like a “get a free Lunchable” kind of deal.

I just checked, and $4.99 is the regular price for OM bacon. PASS!

I recommend looking to see if your local store carries “Hatfield Bacon End Slice” which is only $1.99/lb in my area. It’s the trimmings from other bacon packages, and very useful in recipes that call for bacon. You can also cook it and use it just like regular bacon. It’s not unlike those “meat and cheese ends” you may see near the deli case for $0.99/lb or $1.99/lb in a bag or on a tray. It’s the parts they stopped cutting at the deli when they opened a new package. These are also very useful and MUCH cheaper than the prices at the deli counter.

Right now, for packaged bacon, Gwaltney Bacon at $2.99 for 12oz. is your best buy at $0.25/oz., much less than Oscar Meyer at the regular price.

I would have to agree with you. We posted it because of the new coupon and because we really have not seen a great deal in a while on OM Bacon. While I don’t encourage people to be brand loyal, there are people that do like specific products so we try to give the best deals for that product.

Your recommendations are great! Thanks for taking the time to include them as I know people will find it to be helpful advice.

I will also pass on this deal as I still have a freezer full of turkey bacon that I got for next to nothing 😉

That “Loyal Oscar Mayer Bacon Family” you are speaking of is mine! LOL 🙂 Thanks!

My Shoprite in New Windsor, NY no longer takes coupons with Walmart’s name or any other store’s name printed on it. It has to be a manufacturer coupon only. On the upside, Price Chopper here takes any store’s coupons.

Over the fall, news reports said bacon and other pork products were gonna go up for 2013 I forgot the reason.

Like everything else, sad. Out of topic but recently prices go up and quality goes down, went to the mall last night, bought absolutely nothing.

      • A

True. I noticed that even sale prices have been changing too.Thank goodness for couponing. It’s our weapon against food inflation.
