Is this an Advertised deal?? thank you

  • Laura D.

The eggs were on a managers special 2/$5 at my store. There was a different brand with the sale price of $0.99.

    • Rocky

Oh, say it ain’t so… I was SO looking forward to this. What a price (even with the .35 Q’s I have)!

Almost made me want to ask if eggs could be frozen…[grin, I love asking that question on this site!]!!

Okay, okay, I’ll still check the two APs near me, but, I’m not holding out a lot of hope!

      • Laura D.

I hope you can find them!

I was totally ready to purchase as many as I could fit into my fridge and freezer. I searched freezing eggs immediately after reading this post. And, YES you can freeze eggs! Wisk the eggs in a bowl and then pour them directly into the ice cube trays and freeze. Once frozen, place into zip locks. Will last one YEAR in freezer! Two cubes = One egg. I’ll send you the instructions I copied into a document. It also had breakdowns for 1/4 cp, etc.

        Good Luck!

  • Paulina

Where are the coupons? in SS? Or what location?!

    • Rocky

Paulina, Cindy mentioned it above, in her coupon notation. It was in the April 28th Smart Source insert. Different regions had different values (mine, for example, had the $0.35/1 version).

I think some of the clipping services (coupon dede’s, maybe klip2save, possibly coupon carryout, etc.) may have some left if you don’t have that insert still available. But, you might want to check your A&P’s for their pricing, first, before you order.

My coupons for the regular eggs have always been 35c. There is another (more expensive) variety of EB eggs in the same ad that is always 50c off, plus the hard boiled eggs coupon is usually 50c. This past time I only had 2 coupons.

    Plenty. Of in sadle brook

What’s the date on the eggs that are marked down to 99c? Perhaps they are short dated and that’s why they were reduced at that store.
