The FDA advised consumers not to use hand sanitizer manufactured by Eskibiochem SA de CV in Mexico originally a few weeks ago due to a potential presence of methanol (wood alcohol). This can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested.
Just recently we found the list reached 75. Now the list is now up to 100 Hand Sanitizers!

The list is very large and is well organized on the FDA website. I’d suggest taking a look and making sure you’re not using any that are recalled.
The FDA tested Lavar Gel and CleanCare no Germ and they contained up to 81% methanol
Methanol exposure can result in nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, nervous system damage or death.
What to Do If You’ve Been Exposed
Consumers who have been exposed to hand sanitizer containing methanol should seek immediate treatment, which is critical for potential reversal of toxic effects of methanol poisoning.
