You can purchase $500 in gift cards and earn 2 times gas points on this purchase. You earn 1 point for each dollar you spend at Stop & Shop, so if you bought a $500 Gift Card during this promotion, you will earn 1,000 gas points, which is equivalent to $1.00 off a gallon of gas at participating Shell Gas Stations.
NOTE: *These deals require a Single $25.00 additional purchase. Also, you can only use a max of $1.50 off per gallon, the rest will remain on your account until they are used or expired.
You can fill up with UP TO 20 gallons of gas using your gas points. If you buy a $500 Mastercard vGift Card you will have earned $1.00 off of 20 gallons of gas, which is equivalent to $20.00 in savings. So to summarize, with 1,000 gas points (which you will earn for buying a $500 Mastercard gift card) you can get UP to $20.00 in FREE gas, assuming you can fill up with 20 gallons of gas.
You will then have to deduct the activation fee for the $500 Mastercard Gift Card which Stop & Shop will charge you, which ranges from $5.95-$8.95 depending on the value of the gift card. Assuming the activation fee is $5.95, this makes this deal a $14.05 Money Maker ($20.00 less the $5.95 activation fee).
