MATZO BREI

This is a traditional Jewish Breakfast Dish that orginated in Eastern Europe and has spread throughout the world. This is great to make for Passover or any time of the year.

Ingredients
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 2 Sheets Matzo
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 -2 tsp cinnamon to taste
  • 2 Tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
  1. Break Matzo into pieces. Put in a bowl and run tap water over them. Submerge them for 30 seconds and then drain.

  2. In a small bowl, beat eggs. Add Milk, Cinnamon and Sugar.

  3. Pour Egg mixture on top of draiined Matzo Pieces and Mix well.

  4. On a medium heat Melt Butter. Add matzo mixture to pan. You can stir and make like a scramble or make it whole like a pancake.

  5. Add jelly, apple sauce or syrup on top. Enjoy!
